Not the best quality. Very smudgey.
Still. Could be worse!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
H. G. Wells/Myka Bering
(organizers of an Edwardian costume event “luckily” managed to acquire an artifact. H. G. and Myka are sent to deal with it, armed with another artifact - Lillie Langtry’s evening gown)
"Myka, you will be the distraction - you have the dress, just… swan around and be as conspicuous as possible, or something. Helena, you have to disable and neutralize the artifact while nobody’s looking."
"Shouldn’t H.G. wear the dress? You know, since she actually knows how to put it on?!”
"Perhaps, but do you know how to disassemble the Paige Compositor?"
"Well, no, but—”
"Do not worry, I will help you with the robe. After all, I do know how it is supposed to be put on!"
These two, honestly. I don’t know what are the scriptwriters playing at, but if that’s supposed to be just a female friendship, they’re doing it horribly wrong. Or horribly right, really. Srsly, that UST is a cast member at this point.
(art note: my college figure drawing teacher would weep from the way I abuse the charcoal. that said, fun!)
For Redlance, who’s getting sick of -30 workdays (and demanded a summer pic).
H. G. Wells!!!!
Is it bad that I can no longer comprehend the fact that the real hg wells was/is NOT a badass feminist lady adventurer with Jaime Murray’s perfect face? Because that’s definitely what is happening.
This one took me a little bit longer than the Mrs. Frederic piece. I spent more time on the background items than I meant to… Whatever, it was fun!
Sketches from last night. I might do other characters eventually, but for now here’s Myka, Claudia and Helena.
Mrs. Frederic!!!! Since she’s basically a riddle, wrapped in mystery, inside an enigma… well, you get the idea. What better way to represent her than with top secret, confidential, and redacted documents?
I decided to paint the Warehouse 13 ladies I started drawing a couple of weeks ago. I’ll be working on HG next, so she’ll probably be up in/within a week.
